Top Quality Exteriors works on the brick two-flats, rowhouses, and single-family homes of Dutchtown, Soulard, Tower Grove, and The Hill — from flat-roof parapet repairs to full tear-offs and Hardie trim work.

We’ve worked on St. Louis homes from Dutchtown brick two-flats near Gravois to Soulard rowhouses with shared parapets, plus Tower Grove bungalows and Lafayette Square Victorians. Most of the historic core stock dates to the late 1800s through the 1930s, so we deal with layered-over decking and flat or low-slope membrane roofs hidden behind brick parapet walls — where coping-stone mortar failures cause the majority of leaks. Top Quality Exteriors was founded in 2022 by Mario Granados, with 7+ years of industry experience on St. Louis jobs.

View CertificationFull tear-offs on St. Louis' pre-1940 brick homes usually reveal layered-over decking and undersized ventilation — we upgrade both to current code and clear the Preservation Board review.
Most St. Louis leaks trace to the parapet-to-roof flashing or failed coping mortar on a brick two-flat — not the field of the shingle. We diagnose the wall junction first, then rebuild it.
When a St. Louis storm punches through a parapet flashing or blows a shingle off at 2 a.m., our 24/7 emergency line is staffed. We stop the leak, dry the attic, and protect the plaster below.
On St. Louis flat brick homes, we inspect coping stones and parapet mortar joints — not just the field membrane — because that wall junction is the most common leak path we find in the city.
From Dutchtown brick two-flats to Tower Grove bungalows and Lafayette Square Victorians, our residential St. Louis crews match era-correct shingle profiles, copper flashing, and cornice work.
St. Louis storefronts, multi-family flats, and mixed-use buildings along Cherokee, Gravois, and Grand get TPO, EPDM, and mod-bit systems installed to spec — tenants stay working through it.
After the May 16, 2025 EF3 ripped roofs off roughly 5,000 St. Louis homes, we photograph every slope, meet your adjuster on-site, and rebuild with impact-rated materials on a written scope.
St. Louis flat roofs behind brick parapets need fast tarps before rain spalls the interior brick. We batten heavy-mil poly to rafters and coping — no staples — within hours of the storm call.
For St. Louis pitched-roof pockets — Bevo Mill bungalows, Lafayette Square Victorians, mid-century homes on the edges — Class 4 impact-resistant architectural shingles hold up to metro hail.
Standing-seam metal fits St. Louis' Victorians in Lafayette Square and steeper Central Corridor rooflines — 50-year lifespan, hidden fasteners, and matte finishes that suit brick facades.
Victorian Lafayette Square mansions and pre-1930 St. Louis stock carry natural slate. We restore, match, and replace slate with copper flashing details built for the city's Preservation review.
St. Louis gingerbread homes from the 1920s and '30s carry terracotta clay tile on brick facades — a Cheltenham-era detail. We install and match tile with proper battens and breathable felt.
Flat and low-slope mod-bit, EPDM, and TPO membranes cover thousands of St. Louis two-flats and rowhouses behind brick parapets. We heat-weld TPO, detail perimeters, and tie into coping cleanly.
New siding installs on St. Louis brick homes usually focus on cornice, soffit, and rear-addition walls. Every job starts with house wrap, flashed windows, and rain-screen detailing done to spec.
On St. Louis brick homes, siding repair usually means rotted soffit, hail-cracked fiber cement, or storm-torn cornice returns. We color-match and reflash so the fix disappears into the wall line.
Hail dents fiber cement, cracks vinyl, and tears flashing loose from St. Louis rear-addition walls. We document the strike pattern, coordinate with your insurer, and rebuild from sheathing out.
When wind strips siding off a St. Louis wall, sheathing soaks moisture fast — and on a brick house the trim damage is worse. Crews wrap the opening with heavy-mil poly and battens within hours.
Premium .046 vinyl gives St. Louis homeowners a low-maintenance wrap for rear additions, dormers, and garages — dozens of colors, strong wind ratings, and finance options that fit any budget.
James Hardie ColorPlus fits St. Louis' brick homes — noncombustible, color-locked 15 years, and a genuine upgrade over the cornice, soffit, and trim that aging cedar can no longer carry.
Fiber cement from James Hardie, Allura, and Nichiha handles St. Louis freeze-thaw cycles, hail, and humid summers better than wood or vinyl — installed with spec flashing at every joint.
LP SmartSide engineered wood gives St. Louis homes real-wood warmth with treated strand technology that resists impact, moisture, and pests — a strong fit for board-and-batten and lap profiles.
Insulated vinyl adds R-value to St. Louis' older brick-and-frame walls, lowering heating bills with a thicker, more impact-resistant panel that handles spring hail better than standard vinyl.
After the May 2025 EF3, St. Louis roofs and walls needed real documentation. We photograph the strike pattern, meet your adjuster on-site, and rebuild with impact-rated materials to spec.
We work every part of St. Louis — Dutchtown, Bevo Mill, Tower Grove South and East, Soulard, Lafayette Square, The Hill, Carondelet, Holly Hills, Forest Park Southeast, and North City. The housing is overwhelmingly late-19th- to pre-1940 red-brick built from Cheltenham Syncline clay — two-flats, rowhouses, brick bungalows, and Victorian gable homes with tight lots, party walls, and alley access. Most leaks trace to failed coping mortar or parapet-to-roof flashing rather than the field membrane, and most siding calls are cornice, soffit, and dormer trim on brick facades. St. Louis averages three to five significant hail events per year, and the May 16, 2025 EF3 tore roofs off roughly 5,000 city homes in one afternoon. We stage crews near Gravois, Kingshighway, and Grand and handle City Building Division permits and Preservation Board review.
Call (314) 618-8888 or send a message, and we’ll schedule a free on-site visit at your St. Louis home within 48 hours. You’ll get clear pricing, an honest timeline, and zero pressure to sign anything the same day.

I was referred by a relative, and I'm glad I asked. They did great work, communicated well about everything, and the one issue I had was addressed quickly and efficiently. I am glad that I went to this company. Not only would I use them again, I would refer them to friends and loved ones. Pleasant workers who work hard, and customer satisfaction is obviously a priority.Posted on Google![]()

I am extremely grateful that I contacted Top Quality Exteriors for my projects. They did a great job, continuously kept me posted on the work with daily photos, and were timely and professional at a very competitive and fair price!! While other contractors were not interested in my relatively small projects (soffit and dormer repair), TQE came out the day I called to give me a bid. They also went above and beyond. I not only had soffit repair work needed, but a birds next was built into the soffit opening. After inspecting my soffit to provide a bid, Bryan, my TQE representative, asked me if I had a yard bag. He climbed back on the roof and removed the nest. He then used materials from his truck to go back up on the roof to close off the hole until it could be repaired. All this on a late Friday afternoon when most contractors would be looking to start their weekend. Because of this, the great quality work, and the friendly and professional employees, I will always contact Top Quality Exteriors for any future projects, large or small. I HIGHLY recommend them!!!!Posted on Google![]()

The overall experience was great. Their responses are quick and detailed, and the images provided of the condition of the roof before, during, and after repair gave me confidence in the work that was being done. They did a thorough job of explaining the scope of work, including a change order that was required when additional damage was found to the sheathing of the roof. They were transparent about their pricing and were respectful throughout our interactions. Overall I’m satisfied, and hopeful that the quality of the work will show over time.
