Vinyl Siding in Richmond Heights, MO

Vinyl siding in Richmond Heights, MO plays a different role than it does in newer vinyl-clad subdivisions, because most homes here are 1930s red-brick bungalows and Tudors with masonry walls that never need re-covering. Vinyl earns its place on rear walls, additions, gables, dormers, soffit, and fascia, exactly where old wood rots, paint peels, moisture creeps in, and woodpeckers go to work. Top Quality Exteriors installs it cleanly, with the flashing, trim, and color match those areas demand, so the new work sits properly beside your original brick.

Vinyl is the budget-friendly pick, and we will tell you plainly when it fits and when fiber cement siding in Richmond Heights suits a street-facing gable better. Panels are cut around brick returns, window casings, dormer cheeks, and half-timbered infill, with house wrap, flashing tape, and J-channel set before the first course goes up. Permits go through the City of Richmond Heights Building & Zoning Department, and we protect your landscaping and driveway on every block from Big Bend to Hanley Road.

Signs Your Siding Needs Work

  • Soft, rotted, or woodpecker-pocked soffit and fascia boards
  • Cracked, faded, or buckled panels on rear walls and additions
  • Gaps at gable trim where wind-driven rain reaches sheathing

Vinyl Built for Mid County Weather

Mid County sits in one of the busiest hail corridors in the country, with three to five damaging events in a typical year, and the May 16, 2025 EF3 tornado showed how fast flying limbs can tear into exposed eaves. Vinyl copes well with humid summers and freeze-thaw swings when it is installed right: we nail panels in the center of the slots so they can expand and contract, and we set starter strip and J-channel level so water sheds instead of pooling. Big hail can crack thin or sun-aged panels, so we say so up front. Soffit and fascia are where we use vinyl most in Hampton Park, Berkshire, and Maryland Terrace, since vented vinyl soffit and wrapped fascia replace rotted wood and give woodpeckers nothing soft to drill. Rear walls and additions across 63117, 63143, and 63144 are the other sweet spot. Narrow streets and steep driveways shape the job, so we stage material in small bundles. See our siding installation in Richmond Heights for the full scope.

Our 5-Step Vinyl Process

Vinyl on a brick home is a precise job, not a quick wrap. Here is how our crew works through a Richmond Heights project, from the first walk around your gables and rear wall to the final cleanup, with permit guidance and staging covered throughout.

Walk the Home

We walk every wall, gable, and eave with you. We probe soffit and fascia for rot and check the brick returns. You get a clear written scope of work before any panel is ordered.

Choose Your Look

You pick profile, color, and trim from real samples. We compare vinyl and fiber cement honestly for each wall. Brick tones and any HOA or condo color rules guide the final pick.

Check Permits

We tell you what Richmond Heights Building & Zoning requires for your scope. We also plan staging around your steep driveway and tight street. Nothing starts until you approve it.

Strip and Prep

We remove failed siding and rotted wood back to sound sheathing. Then we tape house wrap seams and flash windows and brick returns. Nothing gets covered until it is dry and sound.

Install and Clean

We hang vinyl panels, soffit, and fascia with room to expand. Your crew lead walks every elevation with you before we call it done. Nails, scraps, and debris all leave with us.

A Vinyl Crew Mid County Trusts

We are a BBB Accredited Business, licensed in Missouri and Illinois, and insured with general liability and workers’ compensation coverage. Founded in 2022 and led by owner Mario Granados, our team of 52+ brings 7+ years of industry experience to every wall, from a single gable to a full rear elevation. As a James Hardie® Alliance Program Member, we also install James Hardie siding in Richmond Heights to the manufacturer’s specs when a visible gable calls for it.

Every vinyl project carries our 36-month workmanship warranty, and extended workmanship coverage up to lifetime is available with selected products. Manufacturer warranties vary by product, so we walk you through the one on your panels before you sign, and your crew lead stays your single contact from walkthrough to cleanup. Call (314) 618-8888 and ask for Mario to set up a walkthrough, or reach the office weekdays from 8 to 5 and Saturdays from 9 to 3.

Vinyl Siding Cost and Real Value

Vinyl is usually the most affordable siding we install, and on a Richmond Heights home that matters because the scope is often partial: a rear wall, an addition, two gables, or a full run of soffit and fascia. We price panels by the square and trim, soffit, and fascia by the linear foot, then add any sheathing repair we find once the old wood comes off. That ties the estimate to your actual walls instead of a generic whole-house number. Vinyl rarely needs repainting.

Fiber cement costs more up front but resists hail and takes paint, so we compare the two on street-facing gables while vinyl stays the value pick for rear walls and eaves. Insulated vinyl adds a foam backing for a stiffer, quieter wall. Hearth and GreenSky financing is available for qualified homeowners so a project need not wait, and if hail or a fallen limb damaged your panels, we can meet your insurance adjuster at the house and walk the damage with them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, on the right walls. Brick stays brick, but gables, dormers, rear walls, additions, soffit, and fascia on 1930s bungalows and Tudors are wood or aging siding that vinyl replaces well. We usually keep fiber cement for the street-facing gable and use vinyl where budget and low maintenance matter more than an exact historic match. Most jobs we scope here are partial, not a full wrap.
Cost depends on the squares of wall, the panel profile, trim and soffit footage, and any rotted sheathing found under old siding. Partial jobs like a rear wall or two gables cost far less than a full wrap, and vinyl is our most affordable siding option. We measure your home and give you a written estimate. Financing is available for qualified homeowners.
Mostly, with a caveat. Vinyl handles humid summers and freeze-thaw swings well when panels are nailed loosely so they can move. Mid County gets three to five damaging hail events in a typical year, and large hail can crack thin or sun-aged panels. If you want more impact resistance on a street-facing wall, we will show you fiber cement alongside vinyl.
For a visible Tudor gable, fiber cement takes paint and resists hail better, and it sits closer to the original wood look. Vinyl costs less, needs no repainting, and works well on rear walls and eaves. Many Richmond Heights homeowners split the job, using fiber cement up front and vinyl elsewhere. We price both side by side so you can compare the real numbers.
Exterior work can require a permit, and the City of Richmond Heights Building & Zoning Department issues them through the Building Commissioner. Fees follow the city ordinance schedule, so check with the department for current requirements. We tell you what your project needs and schedule our work around any inspection the city requires, so nothing slips on your timeline.
Often, yes. Woodpeckers drill into soft, rotting wood on older eaves, and vented vinyl soffit with wrapped fascia leaves no soft spot to work on. We remove the damaged boards, repair any rotted framing, and install the vinyl so the eaves still breathe. It is a common fix on 1930s Richmond Heights homes, especially on streets with mature tree canopy and plenty of bird activity.

I was referred by a relative, and I'm glad I asked. They did great work, communicated well about everything, and the one issue I had was addressed quickly and efficiently. I am glad that I went to this company. Not only would I use them again, I would refer them to friends and loved ones. Pleasant workers who work hard, and customer satisfaction is obviously a priority.

I am extremely grateful that I contacted Top Quality Exteriors for my projects. They did a great job, continuously kept me posted on the work with daily photos, and were timely and professional at a very competitive and fair price!! While other contractors were not interested in my relatively small projects (soffit and dormer repair), TQE came out the day I called to give me a bid. They also went above and beyond. I not only had soffit repair work needed, but a birds next was built into the soffit opening. After inspecting my soffit to provide a bid, Bryan, my TQE representative, asked me if I had a yard bag. He climbed back on the roof and removed the nest. He then used materials from his truck to go back up on the roof to close off the hole until it could be repaired. All this on a late Friday afternoon when most contractors would be looking to start their weekend. Because of this, the great quality work, and the friendly and professional employees, I will always contact Top Quality Exteriors for any future projects, large or small. I HIGHLY recommend them!!!!

The overall experience was great. Their responses are quick and detailed, and the images provided of the condition of the roof before, during, and after repair gave me confidence in the work that was being done. They did a thorough job of explaining the scope of work, including a change order that was required when additional damage was found to the sheathing of the roof. They were transparent about their pricing and were respectful throughout our interactions. Overall I’m satisfied, and hopeful that the quality of the work will show over time.
