Insulated Siding in Richmond Heights, MO

Brick walls last a century, but the gables, dormers, and rear additions on Richmond Heights bungalows and Tudors are usually wood or tired vinyl, and that’s where drafts sneak in. Insulated siding in Richmond Heights, MO wraps those walls in foam-backed panels that cut heat loss and sit flush along the brick returns off Hanley Road. At Top Quality Exteriors, we install it on homes from Hampton Park to Maryland Terrace, and we match the panel profile and color to your existing trim, brick, and window casings so the new wall looks original.

Each panel is vinyl bonded to a contoured EPS foam backer that fills the hollow gap behind standard vinyl, adding a continuous layer of insulation across the stud wall. Our crews strip failing siding, check the plank sheathing common under pre-war walls, replace anything soft, and flash every window and door opening before a single panel goes up. If you’d rather echo a historic look with cement board, we also install fiber cement siding in Richmond Heights and will price both options side by side in one quote.

What You Gain on Older Walls

  • Adds a continuous layer of foam insulation behind panels
  • Sits flush against brick returns, gables, and dormer trim
  • Stiffens walls against hail, wind gusts, and falling limbs

Built for Mid County Weather

This corner of the metro sits in an active hail corridor, and the EF3 tornado of May 16, 2025 dropped mature trees onto roofs and walls across Richmond Heights. Hollow vinyl cracks when a limb lands; foam-backed panels absorb the hit and keep their shape, which matters under the heavy tree canopy over Berkshire and Hampton Park. Add humid summers and January freeze-thaw cycles that pry open J-channel and window casings, and the case builds fast. The foam backing also adds a layer of insulation to 1930s walls, which helps through a Missouri winter and a humid summer. Gables along Hanley Road and Big Bend Boulevard take wind-driven rain, so every seam and corner gets sealed. We run house wrap, set starter strips level, and flash every brick transition so moisture finds no path behind the wall. Steep driveways and narrow streets shape how we stage material and a dumpster, and for budget-minded rear walls we also install vinyl siding in Richmond Heights.

Our 5-Step Install Process

Every insulated siding job in Richmond Heights follows the same five stages, from the first walk-around to the final cleanup. Here’s what happens at each one, so you know exactly what to expect before a single panel comes off your wall.

Walk the Walls

We walk your Richmond Heights exterior with you and measure every wall. We talk panel profiles, colors, and trim details. We also note any rot or gaps, so the quote covers them.

Written Quote

You get a written quote listing panels, foam backer, trim, and labor. We explain the 36-month workmanship warranty and financing. Nothing surprising shows up later on the invoice.

Order Materials

After you approve the quote, we order your panels and trim in the profile you chose. We schedule delivery ahead of install day. We plan staging around your driveway and street.

Prep and Install

Our crew removes failing siding and checks the sheathing for rot or gaps. We hang house wrap, flash openings, and install insulated panels row by row, then set and caulk the trim.

Final Walkthrough

We walk the finished job with you and check every seam, corner, and window edge. We haul away nails, wrap, and scraps from the site. Warranty paperwork gets handled at handoff.

Craftsmanship on Pre-War Homes

Richmond Heights is a city of 1930s red-brick bungalows, Tudor Revivals, and Georgian homes in Berkshire and Hampton Park, so siding gets judged against masonry every day. Insulated panels here need tight corners, clean trim returns, and colors that sit right beside brick and stone. We treat gables, dormers, and soffit returns as visible finish work, and our team brings 7+ years of industry experience to each one, even where steep rooflines meet brick.

Top Quality Exteriors LLC was founded in 2022 and is a BBB Accredited Business rated A+, an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, and a James Hardie Alliance Program Member. We carry general liability and workers’ compensation insurance, back every job with a 36-month workmanship warranty, with extended coverage up to lifetime on selected products. Our 52+ team members cover every wall from prep to caulk, so even a small bungalow gable gets full care.

Insulated Siding Installation Cost

Insulated siding costs more per square than hollow-back vinyl, and what you pay depends on wall square footage, how many gables and dormers a house has, and how much old siding comes off. A cut-up Tudor takes more labor than a simple bungalow gable, and trim packages and window casing wraps are priced on their own lines. Sheathing repairs behind pre-war walls get priced as line items, so you see them before work starts. We quote in writing, with no vague allowances buried in the total and nothing left as a surprise at closeout.

The return comes from the wall itself: the added foam layer keeps working every winter, long after the install crew has gone. Hearth and GreenSky financing is available for qualified homeowners, and extended workmanship coverage up to Lifetime is offered on selected products. Weighing engineered wood trim instead? Our quote can compare it with LP SmartSide siding in Richmond Heights.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cost depends on wall square footage, the number of gables and dormers, and how much old siding and damaged sheathing has to come off. Foam-backed panels run higher per square than hollow vinyl, and a cut-up Tudor costs more than a plain bungalow. We itemize panels, trim, labor, and repairs in a written quote, so you see the full price before you commit.
It can help. Foam-backed panels add a continuous layer of insulation behind the siding, which matters on 1930s walls built with thin cavity insulation. Actual savings vary by house, so we will not promise a number. Air sealing, windows, and attic insulation also affect your bills, and we can talk through that during the quote, including what the panels will and will not change.
For most homes, yes. Standard vinyl is hollow behind the panel, so it flexes, rattles, and cracks under hail or limbs. Insulated panels carry a bonded EPS foam backer that fills the hollow gap, which adds stiffness and slows heat loss through the wall. It also resists dents from hail and limbs. The upfront price is higher, but it’s the better long-term wall.
Siding work in Richmond Heights can require a permit depending on the scope, so a full siding replacement should be checked with the city’s Building and Zoning Department first. Fees follow the city’s fee schedule. Confirm what your specific job needs before any work begins on site, and ask us any questions along the way, so nothing stalls once the crew is scheduled.
Every installation we complete carries our 36-month workmanship warranty on labor, flashing, and finish details. Manufacturer warranties are available too, and their terms depend on the product installed. Extended workmanship coverage up to Lifetime is offered with selected products, and we go over the options in writing with your written quote, before you sign.
Yes, and it is common here. Most brick bungalows and Tudors have wood or vinyl on the gables, dormers, rear additions, and bump-outs, and those are the walls we insulate. We leave the masonry alone, tie the new panels into the brick with proper flashing, and match trim to the original look. Ask us to price the gables only, or every non-brick wall, side by side.

I was referred by a relative, and I'm glad I asked. They did great work, communicated well about everything, and the one issue I had was addressed quickly and efficiently. I am glad that I went to this company. Not only would I use them again, I would refer them to friends and loved ones. Pleasant workers who work hard, and customer satisfaction is obviously a priority.

I am extremely grateful that I contacted Top Quality Exteriors for my projects. They did a great job, continuously kept me posted on the work with daily photos, and were timely and professional at a very competitive and fair price!! While other contractors were not interested in my relatively small projects (soffit and dormer repair), TQE came out the day I called to give me a bid. They also went above and beyond. I not only had soffit repair work needed, but a birds next was built into the soffit opening. After inspecting my soffit to provide a bid, Bryan, my TQE representative, asked me if I had a yard bag. He climbed back on the roof and removed the nest. He then used materials from his truck to go back up on the roof to close off the hole until it could be repaired. All this on a late Friday afternoon when most contractors would be looking to start their weekend. Because of this, the great quality work, and the friendly and professional employees, I will always contact Top Quality Exteriors for any future projects, large or small. I HIGHLY recommend them!!!!

The overall experience was great. Their responses are quick and detailed, and the images provided of the condition of the roof before, during, and after repair gave me confidence in the work that was being done. They did a thorough job of explaining the scope of work, including a change order that was required when additional damage was found to the sheathing of the roof. They were transparent about their pricing and were respectful throughout our interactions. Overall I’m satisfied, and hopeful that the quality of the work will show over time.
