Insulated Siding Services in Florissant, MO

If your Florissant ranch still has the original aluminum or chalky, sun-worn vinyl from the 1960s, insulated siding is the exterior upgrade that quietly pays you back every month. Most homes here were built between the 1940s and 1960s on un-insulated post-war framing, which means heat escapes through the walls on 95-degree August afternoons and cold creeps in through January freezes. At Top Quality Exteriors, we install insulated siding that bonds rigid foam directly to the panel, so your north county ranch finally gets a wall insulation layer it never had.

Insulated vinyl runs a few dollars more per square foot than standard siding, but the energy savings usually win homeowners over by the first winter. The foam backer stiffens every panel, so hail that would crack brittle 1970s vinyl now bounces off, and the panels sit tighter for a flatter look across your gables. We pair every job with modern weather-resistive barriers and sealed penetrations, and we’ll gladly price it against standard vinyl siding in Florissant so you see the real payback.

Insulated Siding for North County

  • Boosts R-value on un-insulated 1950s ranch wall framing
  • Lower energy bills through hot humid summers and cold winters
  • Impact-resistant panels that stand up to St. Louis hail

Energy Savings Through Every Season

Walk the mid-century ranch belt along New Halls Ferry Rd or Charbonier Rd and you’ll see where un-insulated 1950s framing meets the Missouri climate head-on: south and west elevations fading first, chalky old vinyl cracking after any decent hail event, and HVAC bills that never seem to flatten out. Insulated siding solves two problems with one trip up the ladder — it rewraps the exterior and adds a continuous layer of expanded polystyrene foam against the sheathing, cutting thermal bridging through studs and tightening the wall assembly before paint ever touches it. Our Florissant crews size the foam for a true R-value gain over bare 1x sheathing, run new weather-resistive housewrap behind the panels, and tape and seal around every penetration so a July thunderstorm doesn’t drive water into the OSB. We’ve installed the same system across Maryland Heights ranches, Hazelwood splits, and north St. Louis County bungalows, and the three questions homeowners ask us most are already covered on our LP SmartSide siding in Florissant page.

Our 5-Step Siding Process

A new wall system is a bigger decision than a service call, so we walk every Florissant homeowner through the same five steps before a single panel comes off the house. You see the plan, the price, and the paperwork up front, every time.

Free Inspection

We start with a free walkaround at your home in Florissant. I check panel condition and photograph every elevation of the house. The visit costs nothing and takes about an hour.

Scope and Quote

Back at the shop I write up panel counts, foam thickness, trim and penetration details. The quote lists every line so nothing hides in a bulk number. I send it to you the same day.

Material Choice

You pick the panel profile, color, and foam R-value from samples we leave. I’ll walk through warranties and payback math so there are no surprises. Nothing ships until you say go.

Installation Day

Our crew pulls the old siding, repairs rotted sheathing, and wraps the house in new housewrap. Insulated panels go up tight and sit flush. We clean up every nail before leaving.

Final Walkthrough

We walk the elevations with you and point out trim lines, flashing, and seams. Any touchup is handled before the truck leaves. Your warranty paperwork is in your hand that day.

Why Florissant Trusts Our Crews

We’re a locally owned crew serving Florissant and the north St. Louis County corridor out of our own fleet. Top Quality Exteriors is BBB Accredited with an A+ rating, licensed in Missouri and Illinois, and fully covered by general liability and workers’ compensation insurance. Every insulated siding install carries our 36-month workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer’s panel and foam coverage, with lifetime coverage available on select products.

Owner Mario Granados runs every job through the same checklist, and the company is an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor and a James Hardie Alliance Program Member. That direct manufacturer standing matters because fastener schedules, flashing details, and foam-backed panel systems come straight from the people who build the product. If a storm rolls through Florissant between May and July, our 24/7 emergency response line is staffed and ready to roll.

Insulated Siding Cost in Florissant

Insulated siding runs about $1 to $3 per square foot above standard vinyl in Florissant, so a 1,500 square foot ranch sees the upgrade add a few thousand dollars to the project. For that premium you get an R-value jump on walls that may have no insulation today, panels that beat hollow-back vinyl under hail, and a quieter interior the first time a Missouri thunderstorm rolls through. For an older north county home, it is often the clearest payback upgrade of all.

On the financing side, we offer Hearth and GreenSky options for qualified Florissant homeowners, so the project does not have to wait on tax-refund season. Many owners roll siding and roof into one quote when both are near end of life, saving a mobilization fee and avoiding tearing up new fascia later. Homeowners cross-shopping with fiber cement siding in Florissant usually see insulated vinyl come in lower per square foot with a comparable energy profile.

Frequently Asked Questions

On a typical Florissant ranch, insulated siding runs about $1 to $3 per square foot more than standard vinyl, which usually means a few thousand dollars added to the project. The upgrade pays itself back through lower heating and cooling bills, since the foam-backed panels add continuous R-value to the wall. We’ll quote your exact square footage before you decide.
Yes, especially on an un-insulated post-war ranch. The foam backing on the panels adds continuous R-value across the wall, which cuts thermal bridging through the studs and keeps summer heat out and winter heat in. Florissant homeowners who were running the AC full tilt in July often notice the house holds its temperature longer, and the furnace cycles less in January.
Insulated panels are notably more impact-resistant than hollow-back vinyl because the foam backer supports the panel face. A 1 or 1.5 inch hail stone that would crack brittle 1970s vinyl often just dents the panel’s foam core instead of cracking through. That matters in Florissant, where 2025 brought 2-inch hail reports to the north county on May 19 alone.
Yes. The City of Florissant requires a building permit for siding work, and your contractor pulls it with the city’s own building department, not St. Louis County. The application lists panel type, trim, and penetrations, and the city has a material-matching rule under Code 500.330(18) that requires samples be approved by the Building Commissioner before install.
Most Florissant ranches re-side in two to four working days once panels arrive. The crew tears off the old aluminum or vinyl, repairs any rotted sheathing we find, wraps the house in new housewrap, and installs the insulated panels with trim. Weather can shift the schedule, especially in May storm season, but we start when we promise and stay until it’s done right.
Occasionally, yes, but we almost never recommend it. Going over existing siding hides what’s underneath — rotted sheathing, failed housewrap — and it stacks a thicker wall assembly against your trim, windows, and doors. The honest install is a full tear-off, inspect the sheathing, repair what’s needed, run new weather barrier, and set the insulated panels against a clean surface.

I was referred by a relative, and I'm glad I asked. They did great work, communicated well about everything, and the one issue I had was addressed quickly and efficiently. I am glad that I went to this company. Not only would I use them again, I would refer them to friends and loved ones. Pleasant workers who work hard, and customer satisfaction is obviously a priority.

I am extremely grateful that I contacted Top Quality Exteriors for my projects. They did a great job, continuously kept me posted on the work with daily photos, and were timely and professional at a very competitive and fair price!! While other contractors were not interested in my relatively small projects (soffit and dormer repair), TQE came out the day I called to give me a bid. They also went above and beyond. I not only had soffit repair work needed, but a birds next was built into the soffit opening. After inspecting my soffit to provide a bid, Bryan, my TQE representative, asked me if I had a yard bag. He climbed back on the roof and removed the nest. He then used materials from his truck to go back up on the roof to close off the hole until it could be repaired. All this on a late Friday afternoon when most contractors would be looking to start their weekend. Because of this, the great quality work, and the friendly and professional employees, I will always contact Top Quality Exteriors for any future projects, large or small. I HIGHLY recommend them!!!!

The overall experience was great. Their responses are quick and detailed, and the images provided of the condition of the roof before, during, and after repair gave me confidence in the work that was being done. They did a thorough job of explaining the scope of work, including a change order that was required when additional damage was found to the sheathing of the roof. They were transparent about their pricing and were respectful throughout our interactions. Overall I’m satisfied, and hopeful that the quality of the work will show over time.
