Ready to talk about your Florissant roof? We walk the slopes, measure the deck, and give you a written scope the same visit, with no pressure to sign on the spot. Call Mario and the crew when you want straight numbers and a permit pulled right.
Roughly three out of four homes in Florissant were built between the 1940s and 1960s, and most of those post-WWII ranches still carry worn 3-tab asphalt shingles on their second or third cover. If your roof is losing granules, cracking around pipe boots, or leaking after the May 19, 2025 hail event that dropped 2-inch stones on north county, it is time to budget an honest replacement. Top Quality Exteriors has walked those modest ranch footprints along New Halls Ferry and Charbonier Road for years, and we quote asphalt the straight way.
We install architectural asphalt shingles with synthetic underlayment, ice and water shield at eaves and valleys, and the drip edge Florissant code requires at every roof edge. On older board decked ranches we price in sheathing replacement up front, because city code deems warped or delaminated planks non-nailable and the plywood swap belongs on the quote. If you want a tougher option alongside asphalt, we also walk through metal roofing in Florissant side by side so the numbers stay honest and your choice is informed.
Florissant sits inside the metro’s most active hail corridor, where storms track from southwest to northeast and the west-facing slopes of a Paddock Forest ranch take the brunt of every cell. In 2025 alone, around 25 hail reports landed within ten miles of the city center, including 2.5-inch stones and the EF2 tornado that cut through from Bridgeton into Florissant during the March 13-16 outbreak. We factor that pattern into every quote we write: synthetic underlayment under the field, ice and water shield six feet up from the eave, step flashing woven along sidewalls, and ridge vents sized for the hot humid summers that bake Old Jamestown attics past ninety degrees. When a late July thunderstorm cracks a pipe boot off Charbonier Road, we are the local crew pulling the Florissant permit, photographing the deck condition, and getting a roof replacement in Florissant scoped out before the next cell lines up over the Missouri River bluffs.
We built this five-step process so a Florissant homeowner knows exactly what happens from the first phone call to the final cleanup magnet sweep. No vague pitch, no surprise invoice, no crew disappearing between tear-off and dry-in.
We meet you at the house and walk every slope on the roof. I measure pitch, note deck age, and photograph pipe boots and valleys. You get a written scope before I leave the drive.
We lay architectural and Class 4 samples on your porch in real sunlight. I show the color against your brick and trim, never inside a van. You pick a shade that fits the block.
I pull the Florissant building permit, submit the plan with ridges and valleys, and stage dumpsters off your drive. We tarp beds, cover the pool, and plywood the AC before dawn.
We strip to the deck, replace any non-nailable sheathing per city code, then lay synthetic underlayment the same day. Drip edge, ice and water shield, then shingles nailed to spec.
We sweep magnets across the lawn, beds, and driveway to catch every stray nail. Then I walk you around the house, hand off warranty paper, and show photos of the finished deck.
Top Quality Exteriors was founded in 2022 and our team carries more than seven years of hands-on industry experience across the north county ranch belt. We are an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, BBB Accredited with an A+ rating, and fully licensed in both Missouri and Illinois for cross-border work. Every crew we send is covered by general liability and workers compensation insurance before they ever climb a Florissant ladder.
What that means for your home is simple accountability start to finish. The owner, Mario Granados, personally inspects jobs on Washington Street and Patterson Road, and our 52-plus team members answer to the same workmanship standard whether the roof sits in Old Town or along Lindbergh Boulevard. If you want to see that same care applied to a broader scope, our residential roofing in Florissant page walks through full re-roofs on 19th-century homes near Casa Alvarez.
A typical Florissant ranch runs between 1,500 and 2,200 square feet of total roof surface, which keeps full tear-off and architectural asphalt installs on the affordable end of the metro price range. The single variable that moves your number most is the deck underneath. If we open an older 1950s roof off New Halls Ferry Road and find warped board sheathing, city code calls that non-nailable and the plywood swap becomes a priced line item on your written quote.
We offer Hearth and GreenSky financing so a cost-sensitive north county owner can spread the payment without hunting a second loan from a bank. Our 36-month workmanship warranty is firm on every job, with extended options up to lifetime available on select shingle lines. Pair asphalt with a storm claim after the March 2025 EF2 track, and the out-of-pocket on a roof replacement in Florissant can shrink fast once the adjuster signs the scope.
Every credential we carry is a commitment to quality, safety, and your peace of mind — on every project, in every state we serve.

I was referred by a relative, and I'm glad I asked. They did great work, communicated well about everything, and the one issue I had was addressed quickly and efficiently. I am glad that I went to this company. Not only would I use them again, I would refer them to friends and loved ones. Pleasant workers who work hard, and customer satisfaction is obviously a priority.Posted on Google![]()

I am extremely grateful that I contacted Top Quality Exteriors for my projects. They did a great job, continuously kept me posted on the work with daily photos, and were timely and professional at a very competitive and fair price!! While other contractors were not interested in my relatively small projects (soffit and dormer repair), TQE came out the day I called to give me a bid. They also went above and beyond. I not only had soffit repair work needed, but a birds next was built into the soffit opening. After inspecting my soffit to provide a bid, Bryan, my TQE representative, asked me if I had a yard bag. He climbed back on the roof and removed the nest. He then used materials from his truck to go back up on the roof to close off the hole until it could be repaired. All this on a late Friday afternoon when most contractors would be looking to start their weekend. Because of this, the great quality work, and the friendly and professional employees, I will always contact Top Quality Exteriors for any future projects, large or small. I HIGHLY recommend them!!!!Posted on Google![]()

The overall experience was great. Their responses are quick and detailed, and the images provided of the condition of the roof before, during, and after repair gave me confidence in the work that was being done. They did a thorough job of explaining the scope of work, including a change order that was required when additional damage was found to the sheathing of the roof. They were transparent about their pricing and were respectful throughout our interactions. Overall I’m satisfied, and hopeful that the quality of the work will show over time.
